Hand fractures are often complicated injuries that require specialist care. We can arrange fast tracked expert surgery to help your treatment and recovery.
Hand anatomy and fractures
We use our hands to interact with the world around us in intricate and precise ways. This means that hand anatomy is particularly complicated. Movements in the hand are incredibly precise, so misaligned fractures or inappropriate splinting can result in permanent impairment of hand function.
Plastic Surgeons and hand surgery
Hand surgery is an important part of Plastic Surgery. Plastic Surgeons are involved in hand surgery because of the complexity of the anatomy in the area. Dr Kotronakis and Dr Sanki have performed thousands of operations on hand injuries. They have specialist credentials in this type of surgery. They deal with fractures of the metacarpals and finger bones.
